The department of Hindustani Music was established in the year 1978 with Prof. Tarabai Kulkarni and Prof.Mahmood Miyan as founder Head of the Department. With the combination of Hindustan Music History any language (Kannada / English / Hindi / Urdu).

Teaching Methods
Apart from class room teaching using chalk and black board, we conduct practical classes with tanpura, Harmonium with Tabla accompaniment. Some special lectures are arranged inviting eminent musicians and teacher exchange programme to enrich the knowledge of students.
